Ryuji Nakamura
Architect. Born in Nagano Prefecture, Japan in 1972. After erning his Master of Architecture at Tokyo University of the Arts in 1999, and working with for Jun Aoki & Associates in 2000~04, he established Ryuji Nakamura & Associates in 2004. In addition to designing buildings such as houses, stores and public spaces, also designs furniture, exhibition spaces, installations and stage designs, etc. Main works include Hechima (chair/permanently owned by The Museum of Fine Art, Houston and San Francisco Museum of Modern Art) in 2012, Atmosphere (stage artwork for Opera Le Grand Macabre at New National Theatre, Tokyo) in 2009, Cornfield (Where is Architecture? Seven installations by Japanese Architects at The National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo) in 2010, JINS Kyoto Teramachi dori in 2016, Citizen lobby of Kobe City Hall in 2017, Building M (GRASSA) in 2018, FormGALLERY in 2019. Main awards include the grand prize of JCD INTERNATIONAL DESIGN AWARD in 2007, 2009, 2017, the wining of FRAME | The Great Indoors Awards in 2007 and the excelent prize of the 6th Kyoto Architectural Award in 2017, the wining of Goode Design Award Best 100 in 2020, The 32th JIA Rookie of the Year Award in 2020. Authored the book Contemporary Architect's Concept Series 16 Ryuji Nakamura : controlled and uncontrolled lines（LIXIL Publishing). Part-time teacher at Maebashi Institute of Technology in 2008~09, Tokyo University of Science in 2009~10, Hosei University in 2009~14, Musashino Art University in 2013~15, Tohoku University in 2014~17 and Waseda Art and Architecture School in 2014~18.

中村竜治
建築家。1972年長野県生まれ。東京藝術大学大学院修士課程修了後、青木淳建築計画事務所を経て、2004年中村竜治建築設計事務所を設立。住宅、店舗、公共空間などの設計を全般的に行うほか、家具、展示空間、インスタレーション、舞台美術なども手がける。主な仕事に、「へちま」ヒューストン美術館、サンフランシスコ近代美術館収蔵（2010、2012）、「空気のような舞台」東京室内歌劇場オペラ「ル・グラン・マカーブル」舞台美術（2009）、「とうもろこし畑」東京国立近代美術館「建築はどこにあるの？７つのインスタレーション」（2010）、「JINS京都寺町通」（2016）、「神戸市役所1号館1階市民ロビー」（2017）、「Mビル（GRASSA）」（2018）、「FormGALLERY」（2019）など。著書に、「コントロールされた線とされない線」（LIXIL出版)。主な受賞に、FRAME | The Great Indoors Awards（2007）、JCD INTERNATIONAL DESIGN AWARD 大賞（2007、2009、2017）、第6回京都建築賞優秀賞（2018）、GOOD DESIGN AWARD BEST 100（2020）、第32回JIA新人賞（2020）など。前橋工科大学非常勤講師（2008〜09）、東京理科大学非常勤講師（2009〜10）、法政大学非常勤講師（2009〜14）、武蔵野美術大学非常勤講師（2013〜15）、東北大学非常勤講師（2014〜17）、早稲田芸術学校非常勤講師（2014〜18）。
