Landscape

This is the installation in the windows of TOKYO GINZA SHISEIDO BUILDING. Since the theme "Journey" was given from SHISEIDO I thought to make the installation like landscape that roads, mountains, waves and clouds etc. are imaged. The plywood plates of 9 mm in thickness are stacked using the walls of the window of 2 m in width, 5 m in height and 0.9 m in depth. The triangle gaps are created by making the plywood plate a little longer than the width of the window, and the zigzag shape as a whole is born. The plywood plates are not fixed so that deflection due to its own weight appears as it is. Since there are two same windows, in each window the length of plywood plate is slightly changed to give the each different shape.

風景

東京銀座資生堂ビルのウインドーでのインスタレーションである。資生堂から「旅」というテーマが与えられ、連なる道、山、波、雲などがイメージされる風景のようなインスタレーションにしようと考えた。幅2m、高さ5m、奥行0.9mのウィンドーの壁を利用しながら厚さ９ミリの合板を積んでいる。合板をウインドーの幅より少しだけ長くすることで、三角形の隙間が生まれ、全体としてジグザグした形となる。合板は固定せず、自重によるたわみがそのまま現れるようにしている。２ヶ所ある同サイズのウインドーで、それぞれ合板の長さをわずかに変え形状に変化をもたせている。
